About Me
I’m a filmmaker whose work is rooted in community, shaped by over eight years of grassroots experience working with youth across Toronto. Before formally pursuing film, I was already documenting the people and spaces around me—capturing moments within community programs, workshops, and everyday life. That foundation continues to inform my approach to storytelling, where I focus on the relationship between people and place, and how identity is shaped through lived experience, culture, and shared environments.
Through my experience working with non-profits, often within limited budgets, I’ve learned to approach filmmaking resourcefully—drawing on the strengths, talents, and trust of the people involved to bring projects to life. I’ve developed strong communication skills and an ability to build genuine relationships, alongside a run-and-gun approach that allows me to work with a streamlined kit and manage projects end-to-end, from production through post. My background in documentary and multimedia storytelling, with influences from poetry and observational practice, informs a style that is both intimate and grounded. I’m particularly drawn to projects that engage with community narratives, youth voices, and stories that carry social and emotional depth. Aside from technicality- my true strength comes from my ability to connect with others and ask questions within an interview that surface ones true thoughts, to place someone in a space of comfort to share candidly.
